How to crochet Little Disney Duffy Bear?

Materials:

Lace Yarn: 
Beige
White
Black (for face details)

Crochet Hook:
I used 2/0 here but any hook that fit your yarn would do

Yarn Needle:
for sewing the parts together

Abbreviations (US terms):

  • sl st - slip stitch
  • ch(s) - chain(s)
  • sc - single crochet
  • st - stitch
  • sc inc - 2 single crochet in 1 stitch
  • sc dec - 1 single crochet in 2 stitch

Little Disney Duffy Bear Head Crochet Pattern

Round 1:
In Beige yarn, make a Magic Circle with 6sc. Close the circle with sl st. (6st)

In the following rows, start with a sl st and close the round with sl st.

Round 2:
1sc inc in every st. (12st)

Round 3:
1 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 5 times. (18st)

Round 4:
2 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 5 times. (24st)

Round 5:
3 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 5 times. (30st)

Round 6:
1sc in first 17st. Insert White yarn and do 1sc in next 2 st. Change back to Beige and make 1sc in next 3st. Change to White again and make 1sc in next 2st. Finally, change back to Beige and finish the rest of the round by 1sc in each st. (30st)

Round 7-8:
1sc in first 16st. Change to White yarn and do 1sc in next 4 st. Change back to Beige and make 1sc in next st. Change to White again and make 1sc in next 4st. Finally, change back to Beige and finish the rest of the round by 1sc in each st. (30st)

Round 9-10:
1sc in first 16st. Change to White yarn and do 1sc in next 9st. Change back to Beige and finish the rest of the round by 1sc in each st. (30st)

Round 11:
3 sc, 1sc dec in next st. Repeat 2 time. 2 sc. Change to White. 1sc dec in next st. 3 sc. 1sc dec in next st. 1sc. Change back to Beige, 2sc, 1sc dec, 1sc. (24st)

Round 12:
2 sc, 1 sc in next 2 st. Repeat 5 times. (18st)

Round 13:
1sc, 1sc in next st. Repeat 5 times (12st)

Round 14:
1sc dec in the whole round. (6st)

Stuff and fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing onto the body.

The head of Disney Duffy is formed.

Round 1:

Round 1:
In White yarn, make a Magic Circle with 8sc. Close the circle with sl st. (8st)

Change to Beige yarn now.

In the following rows, start with a sl st and close the round with sl st.

Round 2:
1sc inc in every st. (16st)

Round 3:
1 sc every st. (16st)

Round 4:
2 sc, 1sc dec in next st. Repeat 3 times. (12st)

Round 5:
1 sc every st. (12st)

Round 6:
2 sc, 1sc dec in next st. Repeat 2 times. (9st)

Round 7:
1 sc every st. (9st)

Round 8:
1 sc, 1sc dec in next st. Repeat 2 times. (6st)

Fasten off. Leave a long tail for sewing onto the body.

Make 2 in total.

Round 1:
In Beige yarn, make a Magic Circle with 4sc. Close the circle with sl st. (4st)

In the following rows, start with a sl st and close the round with sl st.

Round 2:
1sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat once. (6st)

Round 3-5:
1 sc every st. (6st)

Round 6:
1sc, 1sc dec in next st. Repeat once. (4st)

Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew onto the body.

1 sc every st. (8st)

Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew onto the head.

 

Disney Duffy Face Details:

Eye: 
In black, embroidery the shape of eye, right next to the edge of the mouth part. 

Do not cut the thread and continue to the nose part below.

Nose:
In black, embroidery the shape of nose at the tip of the mouth part as shown in the picture.
