Materials:

Yarn: 
Green (for Cactus)
Fluffy Brown (for Soil)
Beige (for Plant Pot)
Shrimp (for Pant Pot)
Pink (for Flower)

Crochet Hook:
I used 7/0 here but any hook that fit your yarn would do

Yarn Needle:
for sewing the parts together

Abbreviations (US terms):

  • sl st - slip stitch
  • ch(s) - chain(s)
  • sc - single crochet
  • hdc - half double crochet
  • st - stitch
  • sc inc - 2 single crochet in 1 stitch
  • sc dec - 1 single crochet in 2 stitch

Pattern Instructions

Round Cactus Crochet Pattern:

Round 1: 
Magic Circle with 6hdc. Close the circle with sl st. (6st)

In the following rows, start with a sl st and close the round with sl st.

Round 2:
1hdc inc in each st. (12st)

Round 3:
1 hdc, 1hdc inc in next st. Repeat 6 times. (18st)

Round 4:
2hdc, 1hdc inc in next st. Repeat 6 times. (24st)

Round 5:
2hdc, 1hdc dec in next st. Repeat 6 times. (18st)

Round 6:
1hdc, 1hdc dec in next st. Repeat 6 times and finish off. (12st)

A cactus shape is formed. Add stuffing inside before continue to the soil part.

Tall Cactus Crochet Pattern:

Round 1: 
Magic Circle with 6sc. Close the circle with sl st. (6st)

In the following rows, start with a sl st and close the round with sl st.

Round 2:
1sc inc in each st. (12st)

Round 3:
1 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 6 times. (18st)

Round 4:
2 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 6 times. (24st)

Round 5:
3 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 6 times. (30st)

Round 6:
4 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 6 times. (36st)

Round 7-11:
1sc in each st. (36st)

Round 12:
4 sc, 1sc dec in next st. Repeat 6 times. (30st)

Round 13:
3 sc, 1sc dec in next st. Repeat 6 times. (24st)

Round 14:
2 sc, 1sc dec in next st. Repeat 6 times. (18st)

Round 15:
1sc in each st. (18st)

Round 16:
sl st. in every st. and finish off.(18st)

 Add stuffing here.

Round 9:
1sc dec in next st. Repeat 6 times. Sl st. in every st. and finish off. (6st)

As I used different weight of yarn here, so, you like to add or deduct some rows according to the size of your yarn and the soil of cactus.

Plant Pot 2 Crochet Pattern:

Round 1: 
Use beige color to start Magic Circle with 6sc. Close the circle with sl st. (6st)

In the following rows, start with a sl st and close the round with sl st.

Round 2:
1sc inc in each st. (12st)

Round 3:
1 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 6 times. (18st)

Round 4:
2 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 6 times. (24st)

1sc in each st. (24st)

Round 8:
Change to Shrimp color yarn. 3 sc, 1sc inc in next st. Repeat 6 times. (30st)

Round 9-11:
1sc in each st. (30st)

Round 12:
sl st. in every st. and finish off.(30st)

As I used different weight of yarn here, so, you like to add or deduct some rows according to the size of your yarn and the soil of cactus.

To make the pot stand firm, I prepared a hard paper card in round shape to be put inside the pot.

With the cactus and soil, simply insert the soil part into the pot.

Little Flower Crochet Pattern:

Round 1: 
Use Pink color to start Magic Circle. *1 Chain stitch, hdc, 1 Chain stitch, sl st on the magic circle*. One petal is formed.

Repeat ** 4 times on the magic ring and a flower will be formed.

 

Sew the flower on any part of the cactus you like. I here added a little ladybird 3D sticker on the soil to make it more lively and cute.
